🎥 A24’s “Bring Her Back” Will Leave You Shook

We need to talk about Bring Her Back, the new A24 horror film that had me and my daughter absolutely traumatized (in the best worst way possible).
Thanks to some amazing folks who thought I was cool enough to invite, I got to see an early screening of the film.
And when I tell you I was not ready? Whew!
I went in kind of blind—I watched the trailer, I even wrote a post about —but the trailer really didn’t prepare me for what was coming.
The official description makes it sound simple enough:
“A brother and sister witness a terrifying ritual at a secluded home of their new foster mother.”
That’s like saying, “Hot sauce might be a little spicy.”
😳 This Movie Is A Lot. Like… A Lot
Let’s just say this film was one of the most unhinged, unsettling, gruesome, and disturbing movies I’ve seen in a long time.
I started doing that nervous giggle—you know the one where you’re uncomfortable but trying to play it cool like, “Ha ha…nope…nah…nope nope nope.”
My daughter? Had her hands over her face going, “No! No! I’m not looking at that!”
👀 A Horror Film With Layers
Beyond the chaos, Bring Her Back actually tackles some real issues—grief, family trauma, the broken foster care system, and yes, the good ol’ Satanic rituals and resurrection of the dead.
But because I love you and care about your wellbeing, I’ve got a few viewer warnings…
