On May 10, 2025, Kingdom Heritage University in Saint Petersburg, Florida, honored Torrence Hatch Jr. with two honorary doctorate degrees in music during a special ceremony recognizing his influence in hip-hop and his contributions to music composition.
Boosie received an honorary Ph.D. in Music Composition and a second honorary doctorate for his lasting impact on the music industry and the cultural footprint he’s made through his art.
During the ceremony, Bishop Dr. Michael Bates Sr. told Boosie:

Your platform has a purpose. Your legacy is just beginning.
