Benzino took to the streets of Twitter to issue a public apology after he prematurely announced Coi Leray would have a Nicki Minaj collaboration on her debut album.

Apparently, the proud papa got ahead of himself while chatting in a room on Clubhouse.

Benzino’s announcement put Coi in a pickle, so she took to Instagram to do some damage control.

She did say her album would have some dope features but never confirmed Nicki Minaj was one of them.

Coi Leray chalked it up to her dad trying to defend her.

He’s going to go hard for me every single time. He not going to let nobody talk crazy about me or nothing.

I guess it was a situation where people was yapping their mouth on the Clubhouse and he felt like he had to defend himself.

To add insult to injury, Nicki Minaj took to Instagram to announce she doesn’t have any collabs forthcoming.

After making an embarrassing mess for his baby girl, Benzino took to Twitter to issue an apology.

He wrote:

I just wanna apologize to Coi, Nicki everyone involved, I meant no harm nor did I mean to offend or disrespect anyone.

I know better, it’s a business of trust and I broke that. I feel horrible and sad.

I am 100 percent in the wrong and it will never happen again. Smh

God knows my heart…I would never do anything to hurt mines.

Welp. Hopefully, everything works out and Coi Leray gets all of the features she desires for her debut album.

And remember: Loose lips sink ships.
