People have accused him of being obsessed with Jada Pinkett Smith and/or trying to break up her happy home and he wants to finally set the record straight.
During a very candid interview with Angela Yee, the singer confirmed he was in a very serious relationship with Jada for years and they had Will Smith‘s blessing.
I actually sat down with Will and had a conversation.
Due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership that they have spoken on several times and it not involving romanticism, he gave me his blessing.
And I totally gave myself to that relationship for years of my life. And I truly and really, really deeply loved and I have a ton of love for her. I devoted myself to it. I gave my full self to it.
So much so, to the point that I can die right now and be okay with knowing that I truly gave myself to somebody and I really loved a person. I experienced that. I know what that feels like and some people never get that in this lifetime.
I know that I am completely blessed.
August Alsina said when the drama came in…he had to untwine and exit the relationship.
Fighting back emotions, August said leaving the relationship almost killed him.
“It…broke…me…down,” he confessed.
