Apple TV+ has officially announced the renewal of its global hit series, “Presumed Innocent,” for a second season following its widely acclaimed premiere last month.
The show, led by Academy Award-nominated star and executive producer Jake Gyllenhaal, will continue to captivate audiences with a suspenseful, brand-new case.
Returning to executive produce are multi-Emmy Award winners David E. Kelley and J.J. Abrams, along with Gyllenhaal, Rachel Rusch Rich, Dustin Thomason, and Matthew Tinker.
Author Scott Turow, whose New York Times bestselling novel serves as the series’ inspiration, will also return as co-executive producer.
Jake Gyllenhaal’s portrayal of Rusty Sabich has been met with high praise, with critics lauding his “endlessly watchable” and “stellar performance.”
The series has been celebrated as “one of the best legal thrillers to arrive on television in years,” with descriptors like “sleek and riveting,” “undeniably compelling viewing,” “TV at its highest quality,” and the “pop-culture talk of the summer” frequently mentioned in reviews.
The first season of “Presumed Innocent” is currently streaming on Apple TV+, with the highly anticipated season finale set to air on Wednesday, July 24.
In this week’s new episode, “Elements,” the trial begins, and startling events inside the courtroom threaten to derail proceedings.
Fans of the legal thriller genre can look forward to more high-stakes drama and compelling storytelling in the upcoming second season of “Presumed Innocent.”
