Apple has tapped Emmy Raver-Lampman to voice the character of “Molly” on their animated series, “Central Park.”

Last month, Kristen Bell relinquished her role of voicing the mixed-race character because “casting a mixed-race character with a white actress undermines the specificity of the mixed-race and Black American experience.

Emmy Raver-Lampman, who is known and loved for work in the massive Broadway hit “Hamilton” and her starring role in the Netflix hit series, “The Umbrella Academy,” will now voice the character of “Molly.”

The singer and actress took to Instagram and gushed about her new gig!

II HOLY. COW. II

I cannot express how excited and honored I am to be joining the Central Park family. All the creatives and the amazing Kristen Bell have welcomed me with such open arms, support and endless enthusiasm. My face hurts from smiling so much!

Representation is vital and broadens our ability to tell stories. I know I have some massive shoes to fill, but I only hope that my lived experience will enrich Molly’s story and make her even more lovable than she already is.
