A controversial memoir, attributed to the late Kim Porter, has been removed from Amazon after causing a storm of rumors and legal threats.
The book, titled “Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice, From the Other Side”, painted a disturbing picture of Sean “Diddy” Combs, Porter’s disgraced ex, accusing him of abuse and violence.
This alleged memoir had topped Amazon’s bestseller list in September, sparking widespread outrage and intrigue.
Amazon, responding swiftly to the backlash, issued a statement: “We were made aware of a dispute regarding this title and have notified the publisher. The book is not currently available for sale in our store.”
The publisher in question, independent author Todd Christopher Guzze, also known as Chris Todd, claimed that the memoir was based on evidence from individuals “very close to Kim and Sean Combs.”
According to Guzze, he was handed a flash drive, documents, and tapes allegedly linked to the late model before he published the book under the alias Jamal T. Millwood.
However, this “evidence” quickly came under fire, leading to the book being labeled as a fabrication.
The $22 memoir became a hit as it coincided with Diddy’s arrest on federal charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Sales soared as excerpts from the book began circulating online, fueling gossip and speculation.
However, those closest to Porter were quick to denounce the book.
Her ex-husband, singer Al B. Sure!, threatened legal action, calling for an investigation into the people behind the memoir.
He publicly denied having any sexual relationship with Combs, as falsely described in the memoir.
“Original notes are distinct from the fabricated bulls–t and offensive pages circulated via Amazon which depict graphic sexual acts involving me that NEVER took place,” he wrote on Instagram.
Porter and Diddy’s children—Quincy Brown, Christian Combs, and twins Jessie and D’Lila—also spoke out against the fake memoir.
In a joint statement, the four siblings slammed the book as completely false and urged the public to stop spreading hurtful rumors.
“Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not. And anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves,” they wrote, asking for privacy and respect for their mother’s legacy.
While “Kim’s Lost Words” may be off the shelves, its impact continues to ripple through the entertainment world, with questions swirling around the ethics of exploiting someone’s life after death for personal gain.
As for Sean “Diddy” Combs, he remains in a Brooklyn detention center, awaiting trial after pleading not guilty to the sex trafficking charges.
