Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s attorney, Alex Spiro, has provided exclusive details on why Piers Morgan issued an apology to the music power couple. Recently, Morgan publicly apologized to the Carters after shocking allegations were made by Jaguar Wright during her appearance on his “Uncensored” show.
Previously, Piers offered an apology to Jay-Z and Beyoncé for the claims Wright made, and he promised to remove the libelous remarks from the interview.
“Jaguar Wright unexpectedly made several serious allegations about Jay-Z and Beyoncé during that interview. As I said, in the moment, they were not present to defend themselves. But now they have. Their lawyers contacted us to say those claims were ‘totally false and have no basis in fact.’”
Morgan had invited Wright to discuss the case against Diddy, but she instead implicated the Carters in various alleged crimes tied to the controversial music mogul.
Wright accused Jay-Z and Beyoncé of being a “nasty little couple” who allegedly held people against their will and transported them while unconscious.
Contrary to earlier reports, Piers Morgan did not receive a cease and desist from the Carters.
Alex Spiro clarified that Morgan was issued a clear ultimatum: “Remove that false accusation that’s demonstrably false, or a court’s going to order you to.”
Spiro also criticized Morgan for promoting an unfounded rumor while ignoring the voices of real victims on his platform.
