On Friday (November 6), Al Roker revealed he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer during the “TODAY” show.
Following a visit to his doctor in September, where an elevated PSA level was detected in his bloodwork, Al had an MRI and a biopsy, and the diagnosis was confirmed.
Al Roker is due to have surgery to have his prostate removed next week.
He assured his fellow anchors that “I’m gonna be OK.”

The good news is the cancer was detected early.
Also, please make sure you are getting your routine exams as well as your specialized exams.
Early detection could mean the difference between life or death.
Please join me in saying a prayer for Al Roker.
