50 Cent Secures Harlem Classic ‘Paid In Full‘
50 Cent just made a major boss move. On Monday, September 8, the rap mogul and television powerhouse announced that he has officially acquired the rights to the 2002 film, Paid In Full.
The Charles Stone III-directed movie, produced by Azie Faison, Damon Dash, Jay-Z, and Brett Ratner, has long been considered a cult classic.
The story follows Ace, played by Wood Harris, who is pulled into Harlem’s drug world after meeting dealer Lulu, played by Esai Morales.
Alongside his friends Mitch, played by Mekhi Phifer, and Rico, played by Cam’ron, Ace quickly rises in the game.
But as the money stacks up, loyalty is tested and the dangers become impossible to escape.
Now 50 Cent says he is ready to bring the film’s legacy to the small screen.
What 50 Cent Had To Say
Sharing the news on Instagram, 50 Cent wrote:
I now have the rights to PAID IN FULL, I’m developing it into a premium TV show.
If you like Godfather of Harlem you’re gonna love this.
Cam set to executive produce alongside me.
If you want in, get at him, I’m out of the country.

With his proven track record, 50 Cent has fans already anticipating another street drama that delivers grit, heart, and unforgettable characters.
Why This Move Matters
The timing of this announcement is interesting.
Just days ago, Damon Dash, one of the original producers of the film, filed for bankruptcy and reported being over $25 million in debt.

For viewers, the combination of a beloved film and 50 Cent’s successful history with shows like “Power” and “BMF” feels like a win.
He knows how to turn real-life inspired street stories into captivating television that keeps audiences coming back week after week.
Are You Here For It?
If 50 Cent keeps collecting iconic stories at this pace, I may need to send him the VHS of me playing Chicken Little in my first grade play “The Sky Is Falling.”
Jokes aside, fans of the film and crime drama lovers alike are already buzzing about this announcement.
A “Paid In Full” TV series backed by 50 Cent and Cam’ron sounds like the perfect recipe for success.
