The wrongful death lawsuit against Jim Carrey over the suicide of his ex-girlfriend has taken an ugly (and nasty) turn.
The suit, filed by Cathriona White‘s husband, Mark Burton, accuses the actor of illegally supplying the drugs she used to kill herself last September.
But, in a revised complaint filed on Thursday, Burton also claims Jim gave Cathriona an STD, lied about it, then dumped her.

“I will not continue to stand idly by while Mr. Carrey and his handlers deceive the world about what they did to Cat,” plaintiff Mark Burton said in a statement Thursday.
Burton was married to White when she committed suicide in Los Angeles last year, but they did not live together and possibly only married so she could stay in the U.S. rather than return to her native Ireland, a lawyer for Carrey said Monday.
Carrey and White, meanwhile, were involved in a known romantic relationship before her death. She named him in a note before she died, officials previously said.
“What a terrible shame,” Carrey said in his own statement responding to the lawsuit Monday.
“It would be easy for me to get in a back room with this man’s lawyer and make this go away, but there are some moments in life when you have to stand up and defend your honor against the evil in this world,” he said.
“I will not tolerate this heartless attempt to exploit me or the woman I loved. Cat’s troubles were born long before I met her and sadly her tragic end was beyond anyone’s control. I really hope that some day soon people will stop trying to profit from this and let her rest in peace,” he said.
“How dare they invoke her memory in an effort to save Mr. Carrey’s false persona,” Burton said Thursday.
