The wife of murder suspect Glenn Frierson is speaking out about her husband’s arrest.
Glenn, 38, is one of three men arrested and charged with second-degree murder for the January 9 shooting death of Shreveport police officer Chateri Payne.
Crystal Frierson says she can’t believe her husband was involved in Chateri’s murder.
My biggest fear is that he will have to pay for it. I’m not getting any answers from the police on why he was arrested.
A Shreveport Police affidavit says Frierson was with Lawrence Pierre II and Treveon Anderson during the murder and left with them after.
Crystal claims Glenn was at home at the time of the murder and she also noted that he doesn’t even know Lawrence Pierre.
My husband doesn’t even know Pierre and he was at home at the time of the shooting.
Crystal also said she and her daughter have been receiving death threats since her husband was arrested for Chateri’s murder.
She wants people to know she and her child have nothing to do with this tragedy and asks that people stop harassing and threatening them.
Glenn, Lawrence and Treveon are all being held on $500,000 bail and they are due back in court on April 30.
Chateri Payne was laid to rest on Saturday (January 19).
