Whole Foods Countersues Pastor Who Claims They Wrote A Gay Slur On His Cake
Whole Foods has filed a countersuit against an openly gay Texas pastor who claims the popular grocery chain wrote a gay slur on a custom cake he purchased.
According to Pastor Jordan Brown of the Church of Open Doors, the cake that was supposed to read, “Love Wins”…had “Love Wins F*g” written on it.
I’ll let him tell you all about it.
This week, Brown held an emotional press conference where he announced his lawsuit against Whole Foods. He’s seeking unspecified damages for mental anguish, court costs and other expenses.
On Tuesday, Whole Foods clapped back with a countersuit claiming the good pastor told a hot lie and they can prove it.
First, the grocery chain claims the employee accused of writing the slur is also of the LGBTQ community.
Secondly, they’ve produced security video which shows the cashiers scanning the top of the cake. Jordan Brown’s label is on the side of the cake.
