Kim Coles, best known for her role as Sinclair James on “Living Single,” is officially a married woman.
The actress and her boo, Reggie Mckiver, tied the knot on June 17 in an intimate destination wedding in the Dominican Republic.
Kim met the former SWAT officer when he was assigned to her security detail at a natural hair show. The two hit it off and the sparks flew when Reggie, who is now a holistic intuitive, took Kim’s hand and read her energy.
The new bride told People, “My heart was open just enough for Reggie to come though and I’m so glad he did. I’m 53 and Reggie is 41, but I’m not a cougar. I can’t run that fast. I’m a meerkat or a prairie dog. It’s about the right energy. It wasn’t like I was trolling for younger men. It’s about energy. We’re ageless. Just two people on the same plane.”
Reggie and Kim maintained a long-distance courtship until he popped the question, without a ring, while they were having dinner at the Olive Garden.
He later found his mom’s old engagement ring at his sister’s house and gave it to his new fiancée.
