All charges dropped against Jussie Smollett

Chicago police picked up two Nigerian brothers at O’Hare International Airport in connection to the attack on Jussie Smollett.

According to law enforcement, these men are the same ones captured on surveillance video around the time of Jussie’s attack.

This information comes as a surprise because Jussie Smollett said he was attacked by two MAGA-lovin white men and during his sit down with Robin Roberts, he said he was sure the two men on surveillance are the ones who attacked him.

Jussie said, “I don’t have any doubt in my mind that that’s them. Never did.”

The Chicago Tribune reports the two men, who are aspiring actors, were brought in on Wednesday night at O’Hare International Airport.

They hopped a plane to Nigeria the same day of the attack and were detained upon their return.

Apparently, one of the brother’s rideshare records put him in the area at the time of the attack. Police did not provide any additional information as it is an ongoing investigation.

Ironically, Jussie told Robin Roberts during their sit down:

It feels like if I had said it was a Muslim or a Mexican or someone black I feel like the doubters would have supported me a lot much more and that says a lot about the place where we are as a country right now.

And just like that – two Nigerian brothers are taken into custody as suspects.

What’s even more interesting is the brothers worked as extras on “Empire” and say they are friends with Jussie Smollett.

HOOOOOOLD UP!

This is starting to feel like a terrible Lifetime movie. I’m so confused and I have so many questions.

Your thoughts?
