Damon Dash is sick and tie-yerd of playing with Lee Daniels about the $2 million dollars he owes him.
On Tuesday, Dame posted video of himself confronting Lee over the money he’s owed and it was awkward – yet necessary.
You just can’t default on a loan and think the longer you wait the person will forget. We are talking about 2 MILLION dollars.
14 years ago, Damon Dash loaned Lee Daniels the money for a film he produced titled, The Woodsman.
Long story short, the film flopped and Lee never paid Dame. Lee also broke an agreement with Dame to give him executive producer credits on his future projects in lieu of payment.
Damon sued Lee and they settled out of court.
In the video posted on social media, Damon tells Lee, “As a black man I gave you the money that you needed – so how you not gonna give me my money?!”
Lee tries to keep it cute by telling Dame to call him to discuss the issue, but that wasn’t going to work. Damon Dash wanted answers!!
In an Instagram post, Dame wrote:
I straight up loaned this dude Lee Daniels @theoriginalbigdaddy 2 million to pay for his dream of being a director…it was the money I was using to fund my movies and stay Indy…he promised I get my money back in months…then he makes precious and goes missing so he doesn’t have to pay me…then Butler…Empire…same sh*t
Why does this dude feel like he doesn’t have to pay me?…why do I have to look crazy to get my money back…or go to court…ask @theoriginalbigdaddy why he doesn’t feel like he has to pay me even though he has it…what type of sh*t is this..
