Walmart customers were mortified on Monday when they received racist emails that said, “Welcome to Walmart, N—–.”

The auto-generated emails were sent to accounts after they signed up for a shopping account.

Customers took to the streets of social media to get some straightening after receiving the offensive emails.

In a statement, Walmart spokesperson Molly Blakeman said that “an external bad actor” created fake accounts with the company’s address on it “with obvious intent to offend our customers.”

We were shocked and appalled to see these offensive and unacceptable emails. We’re looking into our sign-up process to ensure something like this doesn’t happen again.

These weirdo racists are always cooking up new ways to spread hate.

But, let this be a lesson to be mindful of strange or random emails you receive and never click on links in emails you are not 100% sure about.

I receive fake Facebook emails every day prompting me to log in to secure my account.

Luckily, I know the email addresses and domains for Facebook, so I can spot a fake email a mile away.

But, if you click the wrong link on the wrong email you could be seriously hacked and compromised.
