Domestic terrorist Travis Reinking was captured by police on Monday afternoon hiding in the woods of suburban Nashville a day after he opened fire in a Waffle House killing four people and injuring four others.
Here’s what we know:
Reinking was armed when he was arrested.
He was carrying a silver Kimber semi-automatic weapon with .45 caliber ammunition, flashlight and holster on him. His wallet containing a Colorado ID was in his backpack, police said.
A citizen’s tip helped police track down the suspect.
“It’s a community effort, this would not have been accomplished without the cooperation of the community, and it was a citizen’s tip that led to this apprehension,” Nashville Police Chief Steve Anderson said.
Travis Reinking refused to talk and asked for an attorney.
The Waffle House suspect was arrested this afternoon. He requested a lawyer and refused to make a statement, police said. https://t.co/kfs7AScgu7
