The viral photos of a man wearing a “Make America White Again” hat and of a man at a Trump rally are NOT former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin.

Chauvin killed George Floyd on Monday, May 25, when he knelt on his neck for over five minutes and suffocated him to death as bystanders watched and filmed the incident in horror.

Social media has been circulating photos they believe to be Derek Chauvin at a 2019 Trump rally and wearing a “Make America White Again” hat, but this time they got it wrong.

The photos are reportedly a man named Jonathan Lee Riches. He’s a former federal inmate and an online troll who is known for filing lawsuits against folks.

Derek Chauvin is being represented by Tom Kelly, the same attorney who represented Jeronimo Yanez, the officer who killed Philando Castile during a traffic stop.
