2017 is coming in with a bang as Viola Davis will receive the new year’s FIRST star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
The incomparable Golden Globe-nominated actress, who is also the first African-American to receive a Primetime Emmy Award for “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series,” will receive the 2,596th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on January 5, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. PST.
“Viola is one of the actresses who always mesmerize fans with her talent. She is amazing and we are thrilled that she will grace our world famous Hollywood Walk of Fame,” stated Walk of Fame producer, Ana Martinez.
Viola is sure to scoop an Oscar nod for her incredible performance in Fences, which opens in theaters on Christmas Day.
