In 2009, Viola received a Best Supporting Actress nomination for Doubt, where she only had ONE scene in the entire film and she received a Best Actress nod in 2012 for The Help.
Viola Davis isn’t new to making history! In 2015, she was the first black actress to win an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama for her role in “How to Get Away With Murder.”
