VIDEO: Quincy Reveals He Was Going To Be ‘Hakeem’ On ‘Empire’ Before The Deal Fell Through

During a recent visit to “The Breakfast Club,” Kim Porter’s son, Quincy, gave the scoop on the reports surrounding him turning down the opportunity to be on FOX’s hit series, “Empire.”

Quincy revealed he had landed the role of Luscious Lyon’s son Hakeem, but FOX required him to sign over all of his music rights in order to be on the show.

Despite previous reports, he clarified Diddy didn’t come in and ruin the deal.

Quincy called his dad to see if he would be able to use his clout to get FOX to negotiate. But, even Diddy didn’t have enough power to get FOX to take dat…take dat so they walked away from the deal.
