The Hip Hop artist and activist offered some great dialogue about Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

While Sanders is considered a progressive candidate, many have criticized him for his insufficient platform on racial just. Last week, a group of Black Lives Matter protestors shut down Sanders’ speech in Seattle.

During his appearance on “Real Time,” Talib echoed that sentiment and added, “Just because somebody has a record of civil rights doesn’t mean they are automatically entitled to the black vote.” He added, “It’s very possible to be progressive and still have no understanding of racial issues.”
