T.I. has issued a second apology. This time it’s a video where he apologizes to all of the women in his life and others for the “jokes” he made about Hillary Clinton and a why he would never vote for a woman to be president during an interview with DJ Whoo Kid.
In case you missed it, the King of the South stated:
Not to be sexist but, I can’t vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman. Just because, every other position that exists, I think a woman could do well. But the president? It’s kinda like, I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally — they make very permanent, cemented decisions — and then later, it’s kind of like it didn’t happen, or they didn’t mean for it to happen. And I sure would hate to just set off a nuke. Other leaders will not be able to negotiate the right kinds of foreign policy; the world ain’t ready yet. I think you might be able to the Loch Ness Monster elected before you could get a woman.
Once the interview started spreading like the bubonic plague, T.I. sent out a tweet apologizing for his insensitive words to smother the chatter.
My comments about women running for president were unequivocally insensitive and wrong. I sincerely apologize to everyone I offended.

But, the stakes were high after Oprah Winfrey shared her thoughts on T.I.’s “jokes” telling the rapper, “Honey chile…hush your mouth. You don’t know what you’re talking about!”
T.I. couldn’t have Auntie O thinking he was a misogynistic man, who made his wife quit her own reality show, barely wants her to work, and doesn’t want to have a woman as president, so he issued a more sincere apology.
The caption read, “I’m being told to be quiet & just let this pass…. Nah that aint quite ME. So, heres my apology for my jokes that I made on DJ Whoo Kids radio show. My words WERE NOT meant to be taken so literally. Never saw Whoo Kids show as a social/political platform. However Apologize none the less.”
