Congratulations are in order for Kendrick Lamar! Not because his latest album, To Pimp A Butterfly, is another Hip Hop classic…it’s because he’s engaged.
There was a lot of chatter about a possible engagement when Kendrick’s high school sweetheart, Whitney Alford, arrived at one of his album signings rocking a huge ring.
During his interview with “The Breakfast Club,” King Kendrick confirmed he put a ring on it telling DJ Envy, “Yeah…definitely.”
He went on to explain:
I’m loyal to the soil.
At the end of the day, you want to always, always have real people around you. Period.
Whether it’s male or female. Everyone that’s been around me has been around since day one and I can’t change that. I don’t change for nobody. I can’t run from that.
I always show respect where respect is being given and people that’s been by your side…you’re supposed to honor that and that’s how you stand up.
