Vic Mensa took to social media to issue a public apology to XXXTentacion‘s mother after he dissed her late son during his BET Hip Hop Awards cypher.

In the video posted on his Instagram page, the Chicago rapper says he recorded his cypher weeks ago and did not know XXXTentacion’s grieving mother would be in attendance.

However, Vic made it very clear that he said what he said when it comes to rappers who abuse women.

The caption read:

Protect women. Domestic & sexual abuse are not excusable because you have talent or you are troubled.

With that said I was not aware his mother would be in attendance & I offer her my deepest condolences.

You may recall, before his death, XXX was accused of brutally beating his girlfriend. The case was dropped after he was shot and killed in Florida.

Outside of XXXTentacion’s mother being in attendance, do you think Vic still crossed the line for dissing someone who is deceased?
