Vanessa Bell Calloway took to social media to shared her inspiring story of beating breast cancer on the eighth anniversary of her mastectomy surgery.

The ageless “Saints and Sinners,” who celebrated her 60th birthday in March, wrote:

TODAY 8 #yearsago Monday October 26, 2009 I secretly entered the hospital and had a #mastectomy and breast reconstruction. They took fat from my stomach (a tummy tuck) and made me a new breast.

I was in the hospital for 5 days and got home the day before #halloween (first one I missed in years) I took this photo last November, 4 months before my 60th Birthday, to celebrate my life and longevity in the #entertainment #industry #grateful #thriving #happy #tobealive #cancerfree #praisegod ??????????
