The Vance County Middle School Resource Officer, who was caught on video body-slamming a 6th grader – not once, but twice, has been fired!
Vance County Sheriff Curtis Brame confirmed the firing on Monday, just days after the surveillance video surfaced.
Via NY Daily News:
The footage, captured on a surveillance camera, shows the deputy pick up sixth-grade student at Vance County Middle School, slam him to the ground, then pick him up and slam him again.
The deputy then lifts the child and drags him down the hall. The deputy was placed on paid leave last week amid an investigation by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.

“We appreciate all concerns regarding this matter. However, we will ask that everyone will remain patient while this investigation is ongoing,” Sheriff Brame said.
Shaun King, who was calling for the SRO to be fired, said that’s not enough. He wants charges filed and I totally agree!
