I am so happy to report Kurtis Blow‘s heart surgery went well.

The Hip Hop pioneer underwent an aortic artery repair procedure at UCLA Medical this week.

On Thursday, Kurtis took to social media with an awesome update and he expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of love and support.

Hello my family and friends. The surgery was a tremendous success- Praise God!!

Thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishes!!! Wow!!! I am so humbled by all the love!!!!
