Tyler Perry Receives His First Honorary Doctorate From Tuskegee University

Tyler Perry delivered the commencement address to the 2016 graduating class of Tuskegee University on Saturday (May 6) and he also received his very first honorary doctorate.

The media mogul beamed with pride as he took to his Instagram page to share:

I was the commencement speaker today for the 2016 graduating class of Tuskegee University. Thank you for having me and giving me my first honorary doctorate. Thank you President Johnson, Chairman Page, faculty, staff and students. Congrats to the class of 2016.
