Tyler Perry Donates $1 Million To Hurricane Victims
Tyler Perry is the latest celeb to step up big with a huge donation to air the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
The media mogul posted a video on his Facebook page on Thursday where he expressed the concerns many of us have when donating – is my money going to really reach those in need?!
Tyler says he has donated millions in the past only to find out the money didn’t directly go to those in need.
After defending Joel Osteen, who came under fire for dragging his feet on letting evacuees into his megachurch, Tyler said he would be donating $250,000 to Lakewood Church to assist them in providing services for those who have taken refuge there.

He added that another $250,000 will go to Bread of Life which has partnered with Beyoncé‘s BeyGOOD Foundation.

The last $500,000 will be distributed to various charities.
