Tyga Drops $10M Lawsuit Against Birdman
Tyga has dropped his $10 million lawsuit against Birdman for unpaid royalties from his two albums. Get the scoop.
Tyga is throwing in the towel on his $10 million lawsuit against Birdman.
The “Taste” rapper has informed the court he is voluntarily dropping the lawsuit and dismissing all claims against Cash Money and Young Money for unpaid royalties for his albums, Careless World and Hotel California.
Via The Blast:
In the lawsuit, Tyga claims he made requests for the money owed but so far … nothing. The rapper sued for breach of contract and sought $10 million in damages.
Cash Money previously denied all allegations of wrongdoing and demanded the lawsuit be tossed along with Tyga be ordered to pay their legal bills.
The two sides appeared to be heading towards a settlement but those talks fell apart.
Birdman came back following the talks breaking down and claimed Tyga was the one who owed Cash Money a ton, claiming he was paid advances that had yet to be recouped.
I guess Tyga got tired of fighting…
