Days after he hit the stage during the record-breaking “Empire” season finale, we’ve learned Snoop Dogg has teamed up with director Allen Hughes (Menace II Society, Dead Presidents) to develop a new drama for HBO.
According to Deadline, the untitled drama is “set in early 1980s Los Angeles and centers on a family whose seemingly idyllic life is turned upside down by the collision of their community and American politics.”
The show will be written by Rodney Barnes (Everybody Hates Chris) and directed by Allen.
No word yet on when we can expect this new drama to premiere, but my spidey senses are telling me this is going to be dope. Allen Hughes hasn’t let me down yet.
Congrats to Snoop, Allen, Rodney, and everyone else involved with this project.
