“The Gary Owen Show”
Gary Owen has landed his very own reality TV show on BET and has made history as the first white lead of a series on the network.
“The Gary Owen Show” will follow the antics and culturally blended family life of the comedian and actor, his African-American wife Kenya, and their three biracial children; Kennedy, Austin, and Emilio.
“This is the new face of the American family,” Owen said at the network’s upfront, before joking, “I feel like Ben Carson at the GOP debate.”
On Wednesday, the network announced the half-hour reality series will premiere on October 11 at 9:30p on BET.
