Travis Scott took to social media to say he is “absolutely devastated” by the tragic turn of events at his Astroworld Festival on Friday night.

At least 8 people are confirmed dead and hundreds of others were injured in what authorities are calling a “crowd surge” that took place when Travis hit the stage.

Travis posted a statement on Twitter that read:

I’m absolutely devastated by what took place last night. My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival.

Houston PD has my total support as they continue to look into the tragic loss of life.

I am committed to working together with the Houston community to heal and support the families in need.

Thank you Houston PD, Fire Department and NRG Park for their immediate response and support.

Love You All.

The replies on this statement is in shambles as people are responding with videos of Travis Scott performing while people are dropping like flies in the crowd.

But, then there is this tweet, that Travis deleted, where he said they were still “sneaking the wild ones in” to the sold out festival, which ultimately caused overcrowding.

Now, a new narrative has been introduced by a “knowledgeable source” who claims someone was in a targeted area of the festival purposefully drug spiking folks and the surge was a result of fans who panicked and tried to run for safety.

This spin isn’t going to work because the crowd surge was pushing towards the stage…not the exit.

It will be interesting to see what level of accountability or cover-up will be the true outcome of this.

Again, my heart, thoughts, and prayers are with every person impacted by this tragedy.
