Don’t call it a comeback!
Tiger Woods did what they said couldn’t be done – on Sunday, he won his first Masters since 2005 and people are going nuts!
Via USA Today:
Tiger Woods, the greatest golfer to ever play the game, raised his fists into the air on the 18th green at Augusta National Golf Course in the year 2019, celebrating his 1-stroke win at the Masters and shoving years full of doubt away forever.
It’s his fifth Masters win overall, and his first since 2005. It’s his 15th major championship, but the first since 2008. And just like that his race to catch Jack Nicklaus’ major-championship record of 18 wins is back on.
Social media was here for Tiger’s huge comeback!

Congratulations, Tiger! To come back and win the Masters after all the highs and lows is a testament to excellence, grit, and determination.

To all whiny snowflakes out there who keel over at the first sign of any problem.. look at Tiger Woods & learn from him. Life’s tough, so deal with it.
That takes mental strength, resilience, determination, a will to win & a refusal to give up. Bravo Champ @TigerWoods! pic.twitter.com/IYNYUbpqp3

As I said the other day, the biggest change for Tiger this week was chewing gum, slowly. Kept his golf pulse lower. Not one blowup over a bad shot. I didn't hear a single curse word. This was a new man with a new strategy.

I’ve heard the stories. I’ve read the books. I know Tiger has been a petty, vindictive, self-absorbed jerk for the most of his life but I don’t give a shit. That was awesome. Best comeback story in sports history
