T.I. concert shooting Troy Ave

Shooting Leaves One Dead, Three Injured At T.I. Concert

T.I.‘s concert at Irving Plaza in Manhattan turned deadly when gunfire erupted backstage.

One person was killed and three others were injured by the gunfire, including rapper Troy Ave, who was shot in the leg.

According to The NY Daily News, shots rang out while Maino and Uncle Murda were on stage performing.

Authorities believe the shooting was sparked by beef between rival crews associated with Maino and Troy Ave. The gunman and the victims were all credentialed guests with VIP access.

Johnny Wilkins, 28, a barber from the Bronx, said he was in the overcrowded green room when the fight started.

Wilkins stated, “It was a fight over a push, it was over some bullsh*t. It was like 50 or 60 people in the VIP room. It was crazy. It’s crazy more people didn’t get shot.”

Ronald McPhatter, a member of Troy Ave’s entourage, stumbled downstairs after being shot in the stomach. He died at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital. He was 33.

Troy’s girlfriend, Maggie Heckstall, was shot in the leg, and Christopher Vinson, who was shot in the chest, were taken to Bellevue Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition, sources said.
