97.9 The Box Disregards Trae Tha Truth
T.I., Charlamagne Tha God, and other took to social media to draaaag 97.9 The Box for their blatant disregard of Trae Tha Truth‘s Hurricane Harvey relief efforts in Houston.
The Houston radio station was all over Janet Jackson and Beyoncé‘s visit on Friday, but purposefully didn’t include any pictures or videos that included Trae.
Turns out, the station has had a 7-year ban on the rapper after there was a shooting at his annual Trae Day event back in 2010. Despite the fact that Trae was completely innocent, The Box banned the rapper and no longer acknowledges his existence and humanitarianism.
In case you didn’t know, Trae has been on the ground in Houston rescuing, feeding, and providing relief to Hurricane Harvey survivors since day one.
Trae Tha Truth is a hero and T.I., Charlamagne Tha God and the internet are demanding that 97.9 The Box put some RESPECK on his name!
It’s all good…Trae Tha Truth’s good work in Houston has not gone unnoticed.
Beyoncé posted a special message thanking everyone for their donations to BeyGOOD to help families in Houston. She also gave a special shoutout to Trae for his dedication to the community.
