Michelle Young and her fiancé, Nayte Olukoya, stopped by “GMA” to talk about their love journey on “The Bachelorette” and their new engagement.
Michelle’s decision came down to two men on the show, Nayte, and Brandon.
Even though Michelle claimed she was in love with both men at the same time, she said she ultimately followed her heart and chose Nayte.
I’m not sure you can be in love with two people at the same time.
Brandon was the fan favorite because he was all in from the start, and he had no problem expressing his feelings to Michelle.
As opposed to Nayte who admitted that he had never been in love and struggled throughout the show expressing his true feelings to Michelle.
But, Michelle says she definitely made the right choice with Nayte because he is the person she couldn’t imagine living without, and they connected on so many different levels.
She also says she believes it was hard for Nayte to be vulnerable in front of the cameras, but she has now seen a much more vulnerable side of him.
Michelle’s parents were not feeling Nayte at all on the show, but surprisingly Nayte appears to have won them over because Michelle said that Nayte text her mother more than she does now.
Nayte said his experience on the show was one that he would hold onto for the rest of his life, and he feels lucky that the first person he fell in love with is going to be the person he spends the rest of his life with.
Both Michelle and Nayte agree that communication is the key to making their love last.
