A Tesla Model S, allegedly in auto-pilot, crashed into a tree and burst into flames, claiming the lives of two passengers.

The accident took place on Monday morning near Houston.

Firefighters battled the fire for four hours because the car’s high-energy battery continued to reignite itself over and over again.

They used over 30,000 gallons of water, but they eventually had to let the fire burn itself out.

The two men took the car out for a test drive after leaving their wives at home.

After the crash, one man was found in the front passenger seat and the other was found in the backseat.

There is no indication that anyone was in the driver’s seat, hence the investigation.

Evidence at the scene allegedly shows that the car was speeding, it ended up more than 100 feet off the roadway.

There has been no response from Tesla.
