Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine has been sentenced to 24 months in prison with five years of supervised release.
A judge denied the troublesome rapper’s request for time served at his sentencing hearing on Wednesday.
According to Inner City Press, who has been covering this trial, Judge Engelmayer said, “I cannot agree with your counsel that time served is appropriate.”
The judge continued, “In my judgment, your conduct is too violent and selfish to make 13 months reasonable. You will not be going free today.”
After summarizing Tekashi’s laundry list of antics, crimes committed, and stellar snitching, Judge Engelmayer said, “It is the judgment of the court you are to serve a term of 24 months in prison, with five years of supervised release.”
Tekashi, his mother, bodyguard, and girlfriend wrote letters on his behalf hoping to sway the judge’s decision. It didn’t work.
But, homie still got off easy all things considered.
