Taraji P. Henson To Guest Star On “The Simpsons”

On Monday, Fox announced Taraji P. Henson will guest star on the very first hour-long episode of “The Simpsons.”

The episode, titled, “The Great Phatsby,” will air in January 2017 and will also feature special guest Keegan-Michael Key.

The episode titled “The Great Phatsby,” follows Mr. Burns (Harry Shearer) as he tries to relive his glory days and crosses paths with a mysterious music mogul. After being conned by him and reduced to bankruptcy, Mr. Burns seeks revenge on the producer with the help of Homer, Bart, rapper Jazzy James (Key) and the mogul’s ex-wife, Praline (Henson). Also in the episode, Lisa (Yeardley Smith) is courted by the richest kid in town, Smithers (Shearer) begins a perilous journey and Marge (Julie Kavner) opens an obscure boutique store.

“I just pray it won’t be the last thing people see before a Trump inauguration,” said executive producer Al Jean.

Season 28 of “The Simpsons” premieres on Sunday, September 28 at 8p on Fox.
