SZA Releases ‘The Weekend’ Video
SZA finally released her Solange Knowles-directed music video for her hit platinum single, “The Weekend” and some fans are disappointed.
I can’t front…I’m a tad salty too.
There were so many creative directions one could have gone with the visual for SZA’s side-chick anthem. Watching her dance in a parking deck in slo mo wasn’t one of them.
Solo may have missed her mark with this one. Still love her like a play cousin tho….
Peep the various fan reactions below.
what was the budget for the weekend’s video? i was expecting more from sza….

SZA…..sis…..that is really what you gave us for your The Weekend music video…..dancing in a fucking parking garage? No side chicks? No fine ass leading man? Just throwing your arms around on top of a building? pic.twitter.com/6K3XYeJO7D

My only problem is that Sza's been trying to explain since CTRL came out that The Weekend isn't a "side chick anthem," so I'm like a'ight, maybe people will finally get it when the video is out..
..Now the video's out… pic.twitter.com/S2iaRXee0o

SZA- the weekend video is out and yasss she is so flexible , the visuals, colors, movements. So happy I did not see a cheesy phone scene or slow mo of some guy walking in to a bedroom grinning as the "I'm the weeknd" line plays, that typical ish!!! pic.twitter.com/S5rubPdCcz
