A woman who came to Atlanta for NBA All-Star Weekend is now stranded and asking for GoFundMe donations to get home.

According to the GoFundMe account organized by “Yazz Theestallion,” the woman came to Atlanta on a one-way ticket with $400 in her purse.

She was planning to use her unemployment to pay her way back home, but the funds did not come through.

I went to Atlanta for all star weekend with $400 only booked a one way because I was waiting on my unemployment to pay my way back but they baited I need help surviving and making back home to New York please anything will help!!!

So far, the fundraiser, titled “I Need Help Getting Back Home I’m Stuck In ATL,” has raised $569 of the $1,300 goal with 48 contributors, but it has been shared more than 50,000 times.

Sadly, I’m sure ole girl isn’t the only person in Atlanta right now trying to figure out how they are going to get back home.

I pray she at least has been wearing a mask all weekend.

The young lady has taken to Facebook to say it was a joke (see also “scam”) and that she’s on her way to the bank.

Another GoFundMe has been launched, but it’s unclear if it is the same woman or a copycat trying to capitalize off of the situation.

  3. I fly to new York often for anywhere between $90 – $220 on southwest.. if she had $400 she could have booked a round-trip before she came for $250

  4. Unbelievable. I’m a native of Atlanta, and I hate what our city has become. It’s thugs like that coming here from other places that ruins the quality of life in this otherwise beautiful city.

  16. I launched a campaign to open an elderly care home a few years ago, asking for $25,000! NO ONE donated a single penny! Not one dime! Oh but some trash dressed like this could get your sympathy and your money!? I’m almost glad she screwed them! I’m sure she could have “slept” her way back home dressed like that! Plus she screwed herself being an idiot. It’s PLENTY ppl on here that get away alot of y’all’s money on the same BS! A “Help Betty White” ( Yes the actress!) campaign raised over $50,000! WTH you think have Betty white that check? No one! Yet, Gofundme allowed the account to be created. They get a percentage! So believe me, they just don’t want them to get caught! I cancelled my campaign and did it on my own (2 yrs later!)! I never donated another cent! It’s clearly enough idiots out there to support the scammers!

  19. At the end of the day she needed that money and she was really stranded, this is something not even she can make up. Now she is trying to save face and her unemployment. Nobody purposely wants to look this dumb, Girl bye……

  23. Plane tickets are cheap these days. Why does she need 1300.00? Unemployment never comes in on a weekend. Didn’t have the money to get home then she shouldn’t have come. The 400.00 in her pocket could have gotten her home
