Straight Outta Compton Scoops Oscar Nomination
The 2016 Oscar nominations were announced on Thursday morning and while the lack of diversity has reared it’s ugly head once again, we are happy to say Straight Outta Compton wasn’t completely shut out.
The F. Gary Gray-directed N.W.A. biopic starring O’Shea Jackson, Jr., Jason Mitchell, Corey Hawkins, Aldis Hodge, and Neil Brown, Jr., received a Best Original Screenplay nomination.
Congrats to the cast, crew, and N.W.A. for the well-deserved nod.
