Steve Kerr & Stephen Curry Fined $25K For NBA Finals Outbursts

Stephen Curry and his coach Steve Kerr were slapped with $25,000 fines for their outbursts during and after the Warriors took an ugly loss to the Cavaliers in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.

The back-to-back MVP was fined after he fouled out, blew a gasket, and threw his mouthpiece (he had been chewing on all night) hitting the son of one of the Cavs’ minority owners. He was automatically ejected for his tantrum. Curry later apologized for hitting the guy.

Steve was a prime example of When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong!

The Warriors coach was fined for his remarks about the officiating during Game 6.

He [Stephen Curry] had every right to be upset. He’s the MVP of the league. He gets six fouls called on him; three of them were absolutely ridiculous.

He steals the ball from Kyrie [Irving] clean at one point. LeBron [James] flops on the last one. [Referee] Jason Phillips falls for that for a flop. As the MVP of the league, we’re talking about these touch fouls in the NBA Finals.

Let me be clear: We did not lose because of the officiating. They totally outplayed us, and Cleveland deserved to win. But those three of the six fouls were incredibly inappropriate calls for anybody, much less the MVP of the league.

Steph and Steve weren’t the only ones who had an outburst last night!

Ayesha Curry accused the NBA of being “rigged.” She later apologized for it.

Welp. It’s down to the wire now.

Game 7 goes down on Sunday. Who you got?
