After a 7-year stint, Victor Cruz has been released by the New York Giants.
The team released the wide receiver along with running back Rashad Jennings. The move created a significant salary-cap space.
Cruz’s release frees up $7.5 million and another $2.5 million for Jennings.
In a joint statement with the team, Victor said, “I pretty much grew up in front of the eyes of this entire organization.” He added, “The Giants fan base, the community, my hometown, my family. I grew up there. It’s very much a family atmosphere and it’s very much like leaving your family. That’s what it feels like. I did some great things there.
Victor took to Instagram to express his gratitude.
