Spike Lee has released the first trailer for his controversial film, Chi-Raq.
The film, slated to hit theaters on December 4, is based on the Greek comedy “Lysistrata,” by Aristophanes and focuses on the gang violence in Chicago.
Teyonah Paris (“Survivor’s Remorse“) stars as Lysistrata, a gorgeous Nubian sista who convinces women to withhold sex until their men stop gang-banging.
The highly anticipated film features a laundry list of stars including Samuel L. Jackson, Angela Bassett, Wesley Snipes, Nick Cannon, Jennifer Hudson, Lala Anthony, Steve Harris, and Dave Chappelle.
