Sony Reportedly Parts Ways With R. Kelly
Less than a month after the airing of “Surviving R. Kelly,” Sony has reportedly parted ways with the R&B singer.
Sony and R. Kelly have reportedly parted ways.
The news comes less than a month after the airing of Lifetime’s six-part docu-series, “Surviving R. Kelly,” which highlighted years of the recording artist’s alleged sexual misconduct and predatory antics.
Although Sony and R. Kelly’s camp have not commented on the reported split, the embroiled R&B star has already been removed from the RCA website.
Kells has been signed to Jive Records since the beginning of his career in the early 90’s.
He ended up under the Sony umbrella when they acquired Jive. R. Kelly has been under contract with RCA, a subsidiary of Sony, since 2012.
Now, that deal is reportedly over.
