Snoop Dogg stopped by “The Breakfast Club” and opened up about the recent passing of his beautiful mother, Beverly Tate, who transitioned to her heavenly home on Sunday (October 24).

Charlamagne told Snoop they would have understood if he canceled his interview with them, but Snoop went on to share how he performed a show the night his mother passed.

He also shared that he knows his mother would want him to keep going.

I gotta keep doing this. This is my mama talking to me telling me, ‘You better not stop. You better keep going. You better keep doing what God blessed you to do and I’m going to be with you the whole step of the way.’

Snoop also revealed he apologized to Eminem for remarks he made about him during his last visit on the morning show.

You may recall, earlier this year, when asked about his Top 10 rappers Snoop said this about Slim Shady:

Dr. Dre probably put Eminem in the position that he would be considered one of the Top 10 rappers ever.

I don’t think so, but the game thinks that he’s a Top 10 lyricist and everything that comes with it. That’s just because he’s with Dr. Dre.

Eminem was hurt by Snoop’s remarks and even addressed it on his song, “Zeus,” when he rapped:

And, as far as squashing beef, I’m used to people knocking me/But, just not in my camp/ I’m diplomatic ‘cause I’m tryna be/Last thing I need is Snoop dogging me

Man, Dogg, you was like a damn god to me/Nah, not really (Haha)/I had ‘dog’ backwards/But I’m starting to think, all these people takin’ shots at me

On Wednesday, Snoop Dogg told “The Breakfast Club” he and Em talked it out and he apologized for his “out of pocket” remarks.

I love Eminem and the thing is that we love Hip Hop so much we’re competitive, we’re battle rappers so that was supposed to trigger that in him.

But, we brothers and we family so we learned to appreciate each other for what we do and how we get down.

And we had a long conversation about the respect that we have for each other and the way we need to talk in public about each other.

And I felt like I was out of pocket and I apologized to him and I let him know. I’m just bettering myself.

I make mistakes. I ain’t perfect. I’m just Snoop Dogg.
